Instructions

  1. Ingredients needed

    Prepare your ingredients.

  2. Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, corn scratch and salt. The measurement are all provided.

  3. Wet Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar,  brown sugar,  eggs, and vanilla extract.Mix into light and fluffy, which takes about 2-3 minutes.

  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in the mixing bowl. Mix until just combined. Don't overmix, as this can make the cookies tough.

  5. Add M&M's and chocolate

Gently fold in the M&M's candies and chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.

  6. Shape Cookies

With a ice cream scooper or cookie scooper, scoop the cookie dough (removing excess dough) and round cookie dough into balls . Place on baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  7. Add more M&M and chill for at least 3 hour best overnight

I like to  press a few extra M&M's on top of each cookie for a more colorful appearance.  I like to chill my dough overnight or at least for 3 hours. Chilling the dough allows the flavors to meld and develop. The  butter in the dough solidify, which helps intensify and balance the flavors. This can result in a richer, more complex taste. When the dough is cold, it takes longer to spread and flatten during baking. This slow spread results in thicker cookies with a softer and chewier center, as they have more time to set and bake evenly.Chilled dough spreads less during baking. This is particularly important for cookies that contain a lot of mix-ins like chocolate chips and M&M's. Without chilling, these cookies may spread too much and become thin and crispy.

  8. Preheat your oven to 350°F. and bake for 15  to 18 mins

  9. Cool & Enjoy

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.Once the cookies have cooled, serve and enjoy your soft and chewy M&M cookies! Store any leftovers in an airtight container.
